Hymns in the Street

Hymns on the Green 2021

 5th September 2021 10:30-11:30am
on the green outside St Matthews Church

The focus group planning ‘Hymns on the Green’ we are organising a music group from our churches together (CTCAM) on the theme of ‘recognising our responsibilities for caring for the planet’. We’re hoping to have some local community involvement too and have chosen music which would be great for all-age worship and some tunes familiar to many.
Please  email Jennie Firth at jennie@southlandsfirth.plus.com if you’d like to take part. You don’t have to be a budding musician- most tunes are easy-peasy.
How great thou art
If I were a Butterfly
I the Lord of Sea and Sky
Creator God (Nick & Becky Drake)
This is God’s World
Beauty for brokenness
Jennie will send the music to you when you let her know you’re happy to join in, and indeed, if you know any local folks who would like to join in too to them also.
Potential dates to practice are mostly Monday or Tuesday evenings in August
Mondays – 2nd, 16th, 23rd, 30th (BH)
Or Tuesdays – 3rd, 17th, 24th, 31st
Let Jennie know if any of these dates will be good for you. Happy to meet in my back garden patio in LS17 for a run through – will probably only be one or two sessions necessary that most of us can make.

The 2019 Hymns in the Street  on Sunday ,1st September was  co-ordinated by Stainbeck United Reformed Church with our local churches participating.
